Using your app
The desktop app
The desktop app is a native SwiftUI client for the same service as the website. It uses your silicondevkit.com account, so your projects appear in both places.
What it does
- Sign in or create an account (stays signed in between launches).
- Start a new app from a prompt.
- See your projects in a sidebar and open any chat.
- Follow the build status live.
- Download a finished app, unpack it into
~/Downloads/silicondevkit.com/, and open it or show it in Finder. - Send follow-up messages.
Everything it does goes through the same API as the website, so the same rules apply: access is invite-only, and builds run one at a time per build machine.
Availability
The desktop app is not offered as a public download yet. See The silicondevkit.com desktop app for a closer look.
First launch
The desktop app is itself ad-hoc signed and not notarized, so macOS may ask you to use Open Anyway the first time. See Signing and first launch.
